Weddings at Bandos Island Resort

If you would like to experience a traditional island symbolic ceremony, the ‘Kuda Bandos Sunset Wedding’ is for you. It includes, traditional costumes, Maldivian drums and decorations in the style of the area, and a boat ride at sunset. It will be held on the beach of Kuda Bandos, an uninhabited island. The ceremony will be followed by a private cruise for the newlyweds on a Dhoni (Maldivian boat) and a romantic dinner on the beach.

The Wedding Ceremony:

15.30 Escort the bride and/or groom to Orchid Spa for makeup, hair styling, pedicure and manicure. (There are alternative spa packages available)

16.30   Transfer the wedding guests to Kuda Bandos

17.00   Collect groom from villa and transfer to Kuda Bandos

17.15   Collect bride from Orchid Spa and transfer to Kuda Bandos

17.30   Arrival of bride at Kuda Bandos – the couple arrive to the sound of traditional Bodu Beru Maldivian Drums, who will accompany them as they walk toward the Master of Ceremonies. The bride will receive her bouquet on arrival at Kuda Bandos, and cocktails will be served to the wedding guests on arrival.

17.45 – 18.00 Short ceremony and exchange of vows before a celebratory glass of champagne and cutting the wedding cake.

18.00 – 18.15 Photo session with the happy couple and guests

18.15 – 19.00 Dhoni sunset sail for couple, followed by romantic sunset dinner – private chef and waiter.
